Sorry it took me so long to reply on the Lambretta motorcycle. In the early 50's Lambretta built small wheel scooters and Moto Guzzi built large wheel scooters. Guzzi wanted some of the small wheel scooter market so they started building some. Lambretta responded with the bike you saw. Guzzi didn't start building their V's until the 60's. Lambretta told Guzzi if they continued to build small wheel scooters, then Lambretta would build big wheel scooters. Guzzi chickened out and the rest is history. The bike in the pic is in a museum somewhere. I don't remember where, maybe England? Or Italy?
Thanks for the text yesterday. I've been fine but recently had my vespa and honda towed from in front of my house. It cost me 800 bucks, ouch! So times are a little tough. I need to get a battery for the honda and then need so clutch work on the vespa. I really want to get riding again but well see...
How are you riding these days? Have you been meeting up the other dudes? I stopped by Velo Cult the other sunday but got there too late to see any of the guys. I just forwarded the spokemen link to a buddy of mine that has a cafe honda 360. His name is Matt Lopman. Maybe you'll see him around.
