81 R65 Restoration Almost Complete
It's almost done! Can't believe it, this has been a real work in progress guys. Complete ground-up restoration of my 81 R65 originally purchased for the wife. Don't know if I can let it go after all the work. Just got the heads and cylinders back from being rebuilt after 5 months. This bike was originally owned by a guy who stored it unprotected at the San Diego Yacht Club water's edge. It was a rusty corroded mess, then sat for 15 years in my garage.
