We're moving to Italy and I'd like to lose some weight in my garage, first. Tools, a good lawn mower, camping stuff, leather, vintage helmets, video systems, awesome gas grill, boxes of hazmat, strange bike parts, and God knows what else. Nick "Mutt" Velvet said… - PS- ive been settin twin carb/twin cylinder bikes for years.
you need even compression between the two cylinders, correct valve adjustment, then the timing set spot on, for both cylinders. I know a couple airheads which had a slightly tweaked cam, which resulted in not being able to get both cylinders firing at exactly the same point....)
After thats all squared away, I replace the plug wires with a pair I have that has a metal brad stuck in each- this allows me to short out one cylinder at a time. At full operating temp, I turn up the idle speed screw a bit, short out one cylinder, and tweak the mix for best idle on my now one cylinder bike. Short out that one, unshort the other, & set for best idle. Then I go back & forth, running on one cyl, hen the other, tweakin the speed screw til there is no difference on either jugs idle speed. engage them both: idle too high, back off each, equally, a snat at a time, til you got the speed you want.
Vacuum leaks not allowed.....

- Michael ! Sounds like carburation to me, dirty,out of adjustment, air leaks, could be alot of things, sounds like you won't be riding the 65. I,m riding out to Jim Bob's (AN AIRHEADS)place at Tecate Summit in the morning so I can't help you this weekend, but maybe next. ( I would like to see you on that R bike again )

- Hi Michael; The drags sound cool but. I would be getting there really late, I don't get off till around 1:00. Most times the racing start's at 9:00, hell I could'ent make till maybe 2:00 and that's to late, plus I want to ride on Sunday? Saturday afternoon would be better for me.
