James: Stoner is having his annual tech day / swap meet at his house in Murrieta and I think its in a couple weeks. Hopefully he'll post it in the events section.
Thanks Jessie
I met up with Shad ..and he was very cool and the tanks was great but didnt fit. He gave me a contact that may have one..
thanks again.. really appreciate all your help
If you want to bring it over before saturday the 21st which is Tech Day that cool. Otherwise, anytime Saturday morning (3/21) is good. Are you going to pull an all nighter coming home from SF Friday night? If you want to talk on the phone call me at 619-559-0108. See you later, gary
James,
I'm glad you're going to be able to bring your bike over to my house for Tech Day. There should be lots of airhead expertise milling around all day to help you get your bike running again.
I don't have a way to help you personally with getting your bike from PB to La Mesa, (I don't own a truck). You may be able to find some assistance from someone on the website here. did you mention something about AAA in another e-mail to me?
James,
I don't know a "mobile mechanic" who works on airheads but can you get it onto a truck and bring it to my house in La Mesa on the 21st? I'll bet with Shad's extra set of wires and all the airhead expertise that will be here that day I'll e you'll be able to get it running again. I can help you get the help you need from some of the guys that will be here.
Another thought is Trophy Motorcycles. I hear they have a very low labor rate and they're opening up for business tomorrow. We're going to meet a caffe calabria tomorrow and ride there to check them out. their specialty is going to be old bikes and cafe racers.
If you need bike transportation, use this sight to find it. I'd be happy to help you but I don't have a truck. I have a friend that might be able to do it for gas money.
