yes, the battery and all the electronics are under the seat cowl. not really practical, but it is a 40+ year old bike, i don't think any of us are very practical, we just love the looks of an older bike. with all the junk gone under the seat, who knows maybe I'll throw some number plates on and use the space for storage or a beer cooler

Did you stuff the battery under the seat? I dig that open area behind the carbs, but it's usually impractical unless you're running a magneto sans lights. Indeed, speaking of impractical...

Thanks man, grabbed the shocks off mikesxs http://www.mikesxs.net/products-18.html#products haven't had them long enough to give any review on reliability but they seem ok so far.

That's dirty sexy! Nice job. What kind of rear shocks are those and where'd you get them? I think my GS 750 was asking for a pair of those...
