Back on the Road

As some of you may have heard at Terry's house during the little BeerBooters get-together, I got off my DL1000 on Hwy 101 in Camarillo at the irrefusable suggestion of an unattentative cage-dweller. I'm happy to say that she's now uglier than she was but (almost) fully functional and back on the road. I still hobble around like a little sissy, but I don't feel too guilty about it given the severity of the injuries.

Most - certainly not all - is once again well in motorcycle land for this particular Spokesman, and to all who were there, thank you for not ridiculing me and my brother for taking my truck that day.

The picture shows very little of what actually got the bike legally totalled, but that's really all that's worth looking at. Buggered, leaking exhaust and a bent subframe were sufficiently expensive enough to honk the insurance guys off, but I personally can tolerate a loud(er) bike that goes down the road like an old Ford pick-up.

So there ya have it - next time I see you it'll be on 2 wheels!
